The foremost painter of North America's great game animals, Carl Rungius was born in Berlin and came to New York City in 1894. During his first 15 years in America, he painted on Long Island, in Wyoming, Alaska, and in the Canadian Rockies. In 1921, he constructed a studio in Banff and lived there each year from spring until late fall, continuing to paint from his summer sketches in NYC in the winter.

Braarud Fine Art is interested in all works by Rungius, both landscapes and animal paintings.
